Dudas inversores [Envestio responde]

Buenas tardes,

Hasta qué punto puede Envestio hacer frente a una recompra de la deuda en caso de una venta masiva por parte de los inversores?

En algún sitio he leído que hay quien tiene una estrategia para invertir en Envestio con menos riesgos y consiste en vender tu préstamo un mes antes del vencimiento de la operación aunque esto suponga una penalización del 5%. Es decir, en lugar de un 17% al vencimiento, cobro un 12% pero me salgo un mes antes y me aseguro que Envestio me recompra el préstamo. Yo no comparto la idea porque se supone que Envestio ha analizado la viabilidad de los proyectos y no voy a perder un 5% así como así.

Este asunto lo estuvimos hablando con Envestio por email y estas fueron sus respuestas:

"We maintain (and adjust) our reserves, as new projects emerge. 12-15% of total invested funds are instantly available all the time.
Moreover, in case investors decide to sell us the investment e.g. 1 day before the project closure, we won’t have problems with liquidity. As we’re going to receive new funds from loan originators. (....)

In case there will be a situation like a bank run, then of course we might have some problems with liquidity and in such an extreme case some delays with payments may be expected. Even banks (and other credit institutions) are under the same risk, in case all depositors immediately request back the funds. Though, the situation has a very low probability to happen. Moreover, we maintain rather high reserves, higher than a minimum requirement in traditional banking.

We don’t expect that quite large amount of people will sacrifice 5% to buy back their investments a few days earlier (especially if there is no negative news or prior payment delays with all the borrowers)."

En resumen, que tienen reservas suficientes para atender a quien quiera salirse antes del vencimiento sacrificando un 5% de rentabilidad. Asimismo, que es improbable que haya una venta masiva por parte de los inversores y, en caso de que suceda habría retrasos en los pagos como no podría ser de otra manera....

Envestio published today Fish processing Tier #4 for 200k.

Tomorrow it the due date for Tier #1 for 100k
In two weeks, is due date for Tier #2 for another 100k

• Is the new loan going to be used to pay Tiers #1 and #2?
  
• Why hasn't Envestio waited for Tier #1 to be paid to issue the new loan?
  
• In case the new loan is used to re-financing existing loans, why wasn't it mentioned in the decription on the new loan issued?

The "Fish processing for export market expansion-4" was placed on March 12.
The "Fish processing for export market expansion (tier 1) was fully repaid on March 11.

The company fulfilled its obligations in full and had no missing payments. According to our evaluation, the company is capable of servicing additional loans. Therefore, we decided to extend its credit line further and issue another loan, so that it may organize additional shipments. For every loan placed it provides the relevant documentation for new orders, so it is not re-financing of the existing loans.

The company may place requests for funding, should it have new orders, as long as the amount of loans outstanding do not exceed the approved credit limit. We have a separate procedure for limits increase, which among other steps includes revaluation of the financial position, pledged assets and conclusion of additional guarantees.

He intentado retirar dinero se mi cuenta, pero me pone que mi IBAN no está aceptado,¿ tiene algo que ver conque sea IBAN alemán?

No tiene nada que ver, de hecho yo tengo IBAN alemán. Simplemente recuerda si los ingresos a la plataforma los has hecho desde ese banco o desde otro. Sólo puedes retirar a aquellos desde los que hayas hecho ingreso previo.

Thank you for the comment. Actually, it is not entirely so, you may withdraw to other bank accounts as well, as long as they belong to you (the Investor Account owner) and are opened in your name. So, it's possible to transfer funds from one German bank and withdraw to another German bank, if the sender and the receiver is the same person.
We do not have any restrictions fro Germany and its banks so far.
